AFTERSCHOOL

WE MAKE TENNIS FUN FOR CHILDREN

Our Junior Tennis Academy welcomes children from 4 to 18 years old, offering a structured progression through Red Ball, Orange Ball, Green Ball classes, and Competitive Groups. Each stage is designed to develop skills appropriate to your child’s age and ability while keeping the game fun and engaging.

Join us at EDU TENNIS TEAM

and experience the joy, challenge, and lifelong benefits that tennis brings!

Red Ball (4-7 yo)

Red Ball Tennis is perfect for beginners, typically ages 4 to 8, who are just starting their tennis journey. Using larger, low-compression red balls that bounce lower and move slower, children play on smaller courts (36’ x 18’) with smaller rackets (19-23 inches). This setup allows kids to develop fundamental skills such as forehand, backhand, and volleys in a fun, social environment without the frustration of a fast-moving ball. The focus is on building coordination, balance, basic stroke techniques, and rallying ability, all while fostering a love for the game.

Benefits:

• Builds confidence and enjoyment of tennis

• Develops fundamental motor skills and hand-eye coordination

• Introduces basic tennis rules and sportsmanship

• Creates a strong foundation for future progression

Orage Ball (7-12 yo)

Orange Ball program is designed for players around 7 years and older who have mastered Red Ball basics and are ready for a bigger challenge. Using low-compression orange balls that bounce higher and move faster than red balls but slower than standard balls, players compete on a 60’ court with scaled-down rackets. This stage introduces the full rules of tennis, encouraging tactical development and all-court play. It helps young players refine stroke mechanics, footwork, and game strategy in realistic match conditions.

Benefits:

• Enhances tactical understanding and game awareness

• Develops consistency and control with faster balls

• Prepares players for transition to full-size courts

• Encourages competitive play and teamwork

Green Ball (9-14 years old)

Green Ball classes are for more advanced juniors ready to play on a nearly full-size 78’ court with slightly reduced compression balls. This stage bridges the gap between junior and adult tennis by introducing standard court dimensions and more competitive play. Players work on refining strokes, improving speed and agility, and developing match-play skills. The green ball’s moderate speed allows players to experience a realistic tennis pace while still focusing on technique.

Benefits:

• Builds advanced stroke consistency and power

• Develops match strategy and competitive mindset

• Improves physical conditioning and agility

• Prepares players for full regulation tennis
